For its Group D recruitment, which includes helpers, trackmen etc, for a total of 62,907 vacancies, the Indian Railways has chose to relax the minimum qualification.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) organises examination in order to fill myriad vacancies for Indian Railways every year. The last date to fill the application is March 12, 2018.

Indian Railways has already announced the bumper vacancies on various posts for the candidates who are willing to be a part of Railways or to work in government sector. However, candidates from special categories who have to pay Rs 250 as fee will be refunded back the entire amount. So, aspirants who are interested in the posts can apply before 5 March 2018 otherwise they will miss the opportunity. As per the RRB ALP and Group D relaxed eligibility, the upper age bar has been increased by 2 years. Now as the changes has been made on an instant the candidates may be given 15 days more to apply for the application form.

Other than this, RRB has also allowed candidates to upload signature in regional languages. Also, the Board has confirmed that it will be preparing question papers in 15 languages, which will be Hindi, English, Marathi, Urdu, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Odia, Punjabi, and Tamil. Goyal said that since the recruitment process was resuming after a gap of four years, a lot of changes had been suggested in norms during the intervening years. In the beginning, the provision was not applicable to general category candidates but now they will also be refunded Rs. 400 if appeared for CBT.
