Kamal Haasan On Sridevi's Sudden Demise: 'Sadma's Lullaby Haunts Me Now'

We spoke to actor Shruti Hassan, who shared her feelings on the demise of her co-star in Puli. Sadma's lullaby haunts me now. Besides Moondru Muduchhi, Sridevi romanced Kamal in a number of other hit films such as Neela Malargal, Varamayin Niram Sigappu, Moondram Pirai (Sadma in Hindi), Vazhvey Maayam, Meendum Kokila and Manidharil Ithanai Nirangala.

Condoling Sridevi's sudden demise, Rajini, in a tweet said, 'I'm shocked and very disturbed. Sridevi is survived by her husband and two daughters, Janhvi, who is filming her debut project Dhadak and was not in Dubai with the family, and Khushi.

Sridevi began acting at the age of four and 1976's Moondru Mudichu, opposite Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, was one of her earliest films as an adult lead.

Shruti's father Kamal Hassan has shared screen space with Sridevi in numerous fulms and they've been good friends in the industry for a long period of time.

Tamil actress Khushbu expressed her condolences to the family on her twitter account.

Sridevi, 54, was in Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi, when she succumbed to a massive cardiac arrest. Sridevi is no more amongst us.the most talented and most lovely. "Her childlike laughter will be missed.RIP", tweeted Khushboo.

Rajinikanth, with whom she has acted in path-breaking films, felt saddened by the loss of his friend.

Malayalam actors Mohanlal, Mammootty, Jayasurya, Manju Warrier, Nivin Pauly and Amala Paul were also mourned the death of the veteran actress.

The magic fades too fast.
