Nunes (15-4) is riding a six fight win streak. Nunes is now rising a six-fight win streak against absurd competition, beating Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey, and Valentina Shevchenko twice.

This fight between Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington were expected to fight at the UFC 224 card, but after Cyborg's impressive performance at UFC 222, Dana White was thinking about swapping out the fighters.

While this fight has been penciled in for awhile now, the UFC has been wishy-washy about etching it in stone. That was her most recent victory and it occurred in November 2016, but due to a lack of viable contenders in the 135-pound division, the 29-year-old moved to the top of the list.

The next challenge for UFC women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is set and if all goes well, Cris Cyborg will be waiting for her afterward. Pennington's only two losses in the UFC were split decisions to Jessica Andrade in 2013 - a loss she avenged with a submission win two years later - and to Holly Holm in 2015.

UFC 224 takes place May 12 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nunes wants the fight, she wants the fight, I want the fight, I'm sure the fans want to see it, too. White had said after Cyborg's win at UFC 222 that he was considering that fight and that it "needs to happen".

Still, she didn't stray from her desire to face Nunes. Pennington made her promotional debut for UFC against Roxanne Modaffieri as a result of "The Ultimate Fighter 18" finale, winning by unanimous decision. "She's calling me out, and I can fight her in July". Sound off in the comments to let us know!
