Tiger Woods enters Sunday's final round at the Valspar Championship with a chance to win his first PGA TOUR event since 2013.

Conners shot a 3-under 68 on Saturday for a one-shot lead over Woods, Brandt Snedeker and Justin Rose as he goes after his first PGA Tour victory before a crowd rarely seen this side of a major.

Dressed in his trademark Sunday best outfit of red shirt and black trousers, he ignited the huge gallery with a two-putt birdie at the par-five first, but that turned out to be his only birdie on the front nine.

Patrick Reed - who eagled the first - Sam Burns and Sergio Garcia were alongside Woods at eight under, the Masters champion six under for his final round through 17 holes. Garcia had only one hole left. After kicking off in 70-72-69, the Spaniard began T25 on 2-under, seven back of leader Corey Conners.

World No.5 Rose, meanwhile, has been on fire recently with three wins in his past nine starts worldwide.

Canadian rookie Conners, meanwhile, slipped back with two early bogeys.

TIGER WOODS WAS two off the pace with nine holes to play at the Valspar Championship, as Paul Casey charged into pole position on a congested and star-studded leaderboard in Florida.
