Adrian Lazar has previously worked at IO Interactive and has contributed to Hitman (2017), Hitman: Absolution as well as Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.

In development since 2013, Planet Alpha is a side-scrolling platformer that combines creative puzzles with stealth mechanics, on a backdrop of lovely colours and unusual creatures - like Abe's Oddysee mixed with No Man's Sky.

It's Danish indie developer Adrian Lazar's newest game, and he and his small team have partnered with publisher Team17 to bring it to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year.

Development on Planet Alpha started in 2013 with Adrian Lazar working on the game solo in his spare time. We are building something special and we're putting everything we have into it. "I can not wait to share our creation with the world", says Adrian Lazar, via press release.

Debbie Bestwick, Team17's CEO adds: "At their best video games can take us to different worlds on fantastic journeys. It's such a pleasure to welcome Planet Alpha to the Team17 games label". More information can be found on the game's site.

Planet Alpha is due for release on PC and consoles later this year. What's more, the player has the ability to change the time of day at will, using the transformation that the planet undergoes to their advantage.
