Capcom is bringing Devil Hunter Dante to Monster Hunter

Capcom is celebrating the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection on PS4, Xbox One, and PC by announcing a crossover event with the hugely successful Monster Hunter: World.

This content won't be platform specific, and will be unlocked for all Monster Hunter World players when completing the corresponding Event Quest. A new event quest will be available soon that rewards items for creating Devil May Cry content in the co-op action RPG. In Monster Hunter, that weapon falls in the Charge Blade category, and typically features a hefty shield that, when combined with its matching sword, can turn into a massive axe.

No word on when the collaboration set will be released (and we are still waiting on Sakura) but the method to obtain the Dante set should be similar to the others and will be available to all Monster Hunter: World players when it's out.

Monster Hunter: World is available now.

The crossover also includes a new Charge Blade variant, described as a "devious combination of the Force Edge and Alastor" swords from the original Devil May Cry. The Collection consists of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. They have suggested it will be free for all players though. Players can find the required quests by selecting the "Event Quests" section of the menu.
