"June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my attractive wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team", Punk wrote, responding to a Twitter using asking when he'll fight again.

Former WWE star CM Punk has confirmed that he will fight in the UFC for a second time in the summer. While the card also featured a heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem, a fair amount of that interest could be attributed to Punk. He quickly lost to Mickey Gall via submission in the first round.

At the time of this writing, it is unknown who Punk's opponent for UFC 225 is going to be.

At the outset, Punk, who was making his not only his UFC but mixed martial arts debut, charged toward the center of The Octagon, Gall shot in and was successful with a takedown.

Should Punk secure a win, talks about him fighting Floyd Mayweather Junior could gain momentum.

Punk is likely hoping to rehabilitate his image as a fighter, but at 39 years old, his age could be a factor as much as his inexperience in the Octagon.

Jackson has been campaigning for the fight probably more than anyone and after seeing the tweet himself, he hints at potentially being the opponent.

The two actually have some type of history because CM Punk insinuated Mike Jackson was just a scrub during an interview two years ago. Should the UFC decide to put this fight together, it is bound to do well and sell a lot of pay-per-views because the UFC would be engaging an MMA audience, boxing fans from around the world and WWE fans as well.
