Deepika Padukone opens up about Piku co-star Irrfan Khan's health

Hall of Fame Awards on Sunday, Rekha noted wistfully that till last month, she was to present the "Timeless Icon of the Year" trophy to Sridevi, who passed away on February 24.

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone spoke candidly about her co-star Irrfan's health at recently concluded awards night. Speaking about Irrfan's ill-health, Dippy said, "I think we should always pray for people and their good health".

Deepika also talked about Irrfan said that she love him as a person and as an actor.

Deepika and Irrfan had previously worked together in Shoojit Sircar's "Piku", and will be seen again in Vishal Bhardwaj's next. The actor even informed that he would share more details about his health as soon as his diagnosis is conclusive.

She said, "I won't say fame is all that important for me". Things are back to normal and I will be starting my physiotherapy soon.

"I am honoured, this is a moment for me, and to receive it from one of the greatest actors of our country, versatility to a point of fault, yes that's you Ranveer Singh!" she stated lauding the Padmaavat-star.

Besides, "Simmba" may face a Box Office battle with Shah Rukh Khan's "Zero" and Salman Khan's "Dabangg 3" and these films will also be released at the same time. "I think we should all respect that space that they have all requested for, but let's just hope for the best and say a little prayer". Piku will be my all-time favourite and I think he has a large part to play in that. And now, the audiences have gotten another gift by the makers for the success of the movie. I love my work.
