Manchester United vs Sevilla: We can win the Champions League - Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has challenged his Manchester United players to go all the way in the Champions League if they can first pass their "very difficult" test against Sevilla.

"I am expecting United to go through, mainly because this is the poorest Sevilla side in years".

Manchester United's win over Liverpool FC lifted them up into second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and finish as close to champions elect Manchester City.

That's compared with five losses in the 21 starts he's made across all competitions, pointing to an inferior loss ratio of one defeat every 4.3 games.

Sevilla drew 2-2 at Liverpool in the group stage and came back from 3-0 down at home to draw 3-3 with Jurgen Klopp's side, with Mourinho acutely aware of their goal threat. "We are playing against a team that didn't lose against Liverpool home and away", he told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

However, former Arsenal star Nicholas seems to feel that the Red Devils are not going to have any problems against the Spanish side and he is tipping them to seal a 2-0 victory in front of their home fans to book their place in the last eight. I say Liverpool because they are an example of a very good team, a good example of an important stadium with a big tradition.

They go into the game on the back of an impressive victory against arch-rivals Liverpool at home and have won their last three Premier League encounters against Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Liverpool respectively.

Speaking to La Sexta, and covered by Marca and others, Mourinho was asked about De Gea potentially moving to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Paul Pogba, who missed United's 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday through injury, took part in light training and has an outside chance of being involved.

"I see him here", said Mourinho.
