Neymar to Real Madrid: Guillem Balague reveals when deal will happen

Real Madrid have not signed a player of "Galactico" proportions since the acquisition of Welsh global Gareth Bale in the summer of 2013 with only the arrival of James Rodriguez after the 2014 Brazil World Cup for 75 million euro coming close. The fee is one thing, the prospect of a move to Barca's bitter rival is even more jaw dropping.

Neymar left Barca for Paris Saint-Germain for €222 million last August, but Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that he wants to return to Camp Nou in the wake of the French side's elimination from the Champions League this week.

Midfielder Ivan Rakitic says that he would be happy to see Neymar make a return to Barcelona at some stage in the future.

"He is a great player".

Marco Ruiz of Spanish daily AS on Monday wrote that a meeting between Real, Neymar Sr. and the player's lawyers recently took place in Paris, where it's said to have been agreed €400 million (£354 million) would be enough to sign the Brazil global.

"If it was up to me, I'd open Camp Nou's doors to him right now".

Ruiz highlighted Al-Khelaifi's dropping faith in Neymar's commitment after the PSG figurehead recently said he was "2,000 percent sure" the player would stay in Paris beyond the summer.

"He is also a great player and another who I have played with at worldwide level", the former Inter man added.

"Since then, nothing else has happened".

"He's got no buyout clause, PSG are saying "no way we're going to let you go".
