A chance of snow is expected Monday morning, most likely around sunrise.

Temperatures will rise Thursday to a high near 67, the weather service said, as return flow and ridging build over the forecast area through the weekend.

Meteorologist Mark Wilson said: "It's a rather cloudy and fairly tiresome start to the new working week across the United Kingdom, some showers from the word go for many areas, it could be quite heavy, so some fairly tricky conditions for the morning rush hour".

"I know everyone is waterlogged and sick of rain", Shamburger said. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. West winds will be 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Saturday night, skies will be partly cloudy with a low of 39, according to the weather service.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 65.

After a chilly, but rather sunny weekend, the clouds increased throughout the day on Monday as a coastal low off the Carolina coast began its trek northeast.

Friday night - A chance of showers. Tonight Mostly cloudy. At lower elevations, a slight chance of rain in the evening, then rain after midnight. 1 to 3 inch per hour snowfall rates are possible at times along with blowing and drift snow during the morning commute. East southeast wind around 5 miles per hour.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Today, the high will reach only into the mid 30s, and there is a 30 percent chance of snow. Northwest winds will be 5 to 10 mph, increasing west to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon. There may still be rain sporadically through the week, but with highs in the 50s through Wednesday, little is likely to stick until possibly Wednesday night. Highs into the low to mid 40's.

Friday is expected to be sunny. Under plenty of sunshine, highs both days target 50 degrees, with overnight lows ranging from the mid-20s in our cold spots to near freezing downtown.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Rain and snow amounts look to be on par with the first system, but snow totals will be higher due to the lower snow level. East southeast wind 5 to 10 miles per hour.
