Mysterio made a shock return at the Royal Rumble two months ago and since then rumours have been suggesting that the ex-WWE Champion will rejoin Vince McMahon's roster. There's no word yet on if this will be a one night return or the beginning of another run for him under the WWE banner.

Jericho was last seen during a cameo on the Raw 25th Anniversary special.

Despite his last WWE match taking place in 2017, Jericho kicked off 2018 facing Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

The event is part of a 10-year partnership in support of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia's social and economic reform program, a statement said. Jericho working for New Japan was a huge moment that no one saw on the horizon as Jericho had not wrestled for anyone but WWE after debuting there in 1999 and had written in one of his autobiographies that he never meant to wrestle anywhere but WWE. While he had talked of appearing for New Japan from time to time as a special attraction, he has since claimed that he will not appear for the promotion going forward.

Jericho is now on tour with his band FOZZY and has several dates for the month of April including a show on WrestleMania Sunday.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE will be making the Saudi Arabia event a major priority following WrestleMania 34, and big creative plans are in place for the show and the Royal Rumble match.

WWE continues to stack names for the Greatest Royal Rumble and it's looking like an even more interesting show as the weeks progress.
