It's safe to say that Amy made the right choice by bucking tradition and keeping her last name.

"I'm not Amy Fischer!" his daughter replies, laughing.

The Rockville Centre-raised comedy star, 36, who married celebrity chef Chris Fischer on February 13, posted an Instagram Stories video Sunday in which she speaks with her father, Gordon Schumer.

Amy Schumer wants you to know she's no Long Island Lolita.

"I'm not Amy Fischer!".

"Do you remember who Amy Fischer is?" She added, "No, I'm keeping my last name".

The "Trainwreck" actress recently took to Instagram to explain to her dad why she has no plans of taking her husband's last name.

Schumer laughed off the idea of the name change, tagging the story with "longislandlolita". The incident occurred back in 1992. Following her prison stint, Fisher starred in several adult films. While they hosted A-list stars like Jennifer Aniston, Schumer's friend Jennifer Lawrence, Jake Gyllenhaal, and David Spade, the ceremony was not only said to be laid-back but was planned just days before.

Discussing newlywed life, Schumer told the SiriusXM show You Up With Nikki Glaser, "It feels f**king good!"

Honestly, we couldn't blame her though - she's in love!
