Mourinho blasts 'the worst manager in the history of the PL'

Nobody at Monday's press conference previewing the crunch Champions League last-16 clash with Sevilla could have foreseen the Portuguese publicly eviscerating the former Crystal Palace manager.

If he was coached by Frank, he would learn how to lose because he lost every game.

Mourinho was responding to De Boer's criticism of how he is using Marcus Rashford at United.

"But if you go to his numbers and how many games he played with me. He wants to get results", De Boer said on BT Sport's Premier League Tonight on Saturday.

Rashford has had to make do with limited first-team opportunities under Mourinho this season, particularly following Alexis Sanchez's arrival from Arsenal in January, but the England global returned to the starting line-up on Saturday afternoon to score both goals in a 2-1 win over Liverpool.

There has been plenty of talk in recent weeks surrounding Jose Mourinho's handling of Manchester United wonderkid Marcus Rashford.

24 hours after one of the most brutal managerial insults, De Boer's twin brother Ronald has tried to play peacemaker as he insisted that Frank has the utmost respect for Mourinho. "You want to see this player every week".

"I think we deserved the goal and then it was the situation with the best piece of football in the whole game, the one-two between Roberto and Sadio and a clear foul and no penalty".

"The best thing that can happen for a kid is to have experience and Marcus is having these experiences". I'm really happy too.

As it turns out, the 20-yea-old has made more appearances during Mourinho's reign at United than any other player. "I'm really happy with Marcus".

Of course, Manchester United's claim ignores the fact that a player is awarded with an appearance whether they play the full 90 minutes or just one.

The Dutchman lasted just 77 days after losing four consecutive league games without scoring a goal before being replaced by Roy Hodgson in September.

But it has recently felt like he's barely been Jose Mourinho's man for any game as Saturday's match was his first start in 2018.

The former Netherlands defender, who worked alongside Mourinho at Barcelona when the United manager was Louis van Gaal's assistant, didn't win any of his league games as Palace manager and his team didn't score a goal.
