Omerta trailer: Rajkummar Rao in a gritty thriller will keep you hooked

So Rajkummar Rao is Omar Saeed Sheikh, who as per Wikipedia is a "British terrorist of Pakistani descent with links to various Islamist militant organisations, including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al-Qaeda, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and the Taliban". The trailer begins with Rajkummar, a trainee with a terrorist group whose mission is to spread the spirit of "jihad" across the globe. He appears quite convincing for his role. He is now serving a lifetime prison sentence for plotting the murder of the wall street journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.

The trailer of the film makes it clear that the film explores the world of terrorism and gives an insight into the making of a terrorist. It weaves around some of the most bloody terror attacks in recent history including the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, the Mumbai Terror Strike and the brutal beheading of American journalist Daniel Pearl.

The voiceover in the trailer will haunt you.

Rajkummar Rao is has made is name for himself for shouldering challenging roles and Omerta is right up on the list as one of the gripping thrillers we have seen him in. Without a doubt, Rajkummar has once again left us stunned by his phenomenal performance in this captivating trailer. "There will be this moment of shock and silence as the end credits roll". We actually visited some of the places frequented by Omar in London during his transformation from an LSE graduation student to becoming this deadly terrorist.
