Well, do not despair, since Bigben Interactive announced their new game instead of Remastered, and that is V-Rally 4. Yes, it really been that long.

Too young to remember the excellence that was V-Rally on the original PlayStation.

"It's a real privilege for me to once again work on the V-Rally series", Jarniou said in the official statement. The series first made its debut on PSone back in 1997 and was last seen in 2002 with V-Rally 3 being the final entry on PlayStation 2. "I'm very proud to be working on the franchise again 15 years later". The game - which is now set to launch sometime in September for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC - will mark the first game in the franchise since 2003.

Extreme-Khana: Speed around tracks with pitfalls where you'll need to use all your drifting skills and precision to be successful.

The game was announced with a teaser trailer that showcases the different off-road disciplines that will make an appearance in the game, including racing rally cars across asphalt, racing modified production cars through the desert, and taking classic four-wheel drive vehicles through the bumps and lumps that come with racing through dirt tracks in the forest. V-Rally 4 will release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this September.

Buggy: Hop into your all-terrain vehicle to win the race on these particularly rugged tracks.

Hillclimb: Race to the top behind the wheel of powerful cars. V-Rally 4 will also feature obligatory online and career modes, with more details to follow. Of course, the question now is whether the French studio will release another officially-licensed WRC game this year.

If you're looking for more info about this sure-to-be fantastic installment for Switch, look no further. However, it has now been 15 years since we saw a game release.
