Social media users praised the apparent ease and beauty of the birth as they shared the images online. According to the Daily Mail on Tuesday, the woman and the newborn appeared to be "happy and healthy" after the water birth. While her photos have been shared thousands of times, the identity of the family has yet to be named.

A Russian tourist gave birth in the Red Sea in Egypt before her partner and a man reported to be a doctor carried the baby from the ocean.

The incredible photos were taken by Mohamed Elsaid from a balcony of a hotel he owns, Dar Dahab.

Onlookers are being described as stunned and shocked and say the woman had gone into the Red Sea "for a swim" before going into labor.

Hadia said this man is a Russian doctor specialising in water births, meaning the event was planned beforehand.

Moments later the mother also emerged from the sea looking as if she had just been for a swim, before being reunited with her child on the beach. Moments later, the Mum comes out from the water ready to hold her child. LADbible also notes that the baby's gender is not yet known, and the woman has not yet been identified.

The woman, who is Russian, gave birth with the aid of a doctor from her home country and her husband in Egypt.

Onlooker Andrea Antonello said: 'The sea was really red that day'.
