Outside of his success of over a decade with Big Bang, Daesung has carved out a formidable solo career in Japan by releasing two solo albums, "D'scover" and "D-Day", since 2013.

BIGBANG are bidding their fans farewell with one last song.

BigBang's Flower Road is a "love letter" to fans before the military enlistment of Daesung, Taeyang and G-Dragon, and it is co-written by G-Dragon and TOP. BIGBANG's unreleased track "Flower Road" will come out today at 6 p.m. KST. The song serves as a final farewell from the group to their fans ahead of a long hiatus, as they enlist in the military.

Taeyang and Daesung of K-pop group Big Bang have both begun their mandatory military service.

Rapper T.O.P, meanwhile, recently began service in public works after his military term was cut short following his involvement in a lawsuit based on his marijuana usage.

The band is expected to return to music after completion of their service, a almost two-year term mandatory for South Korean residents due to their longstanding tension with North Korea. The almost two-year service period, either in military forces or public works (depending on a variety of factors), has affected the careers of many K-pop boy bands, though enlisting no longer serves as the guaranteed end of the road for boy bands as it did a few years ago.

"Flower Road" is available on digital music platforms including iTunes and Apple Music.
