Oprah Politely Allows a Legally Blonde Stan to Have Her Moment

While on their press tour for A Wrinkle In Time, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and Oprah Winfrey stopped to chat with Bauer Media's Lucy Ford in London.

"I want to start by saying I'm obviously a big fan of all of you, it goes without saying, but Reese, I actually wrote 15,000 words on you once,"Ford said, handing Witherspoon a copy of her hulking paper, Dumb Blonde Ambition: Legally Blonde, Postfeminsim and the Reimagination of the 'Strong Female Character".

Welp, we love this nearly as much as Reese does.

"Thank you! That really touches my heart", the actress sweetly told her, with an added "Wow" from Kaling and Winfrey.

While Ford conducted her interview after giving Witherspoon the dissertation, Witherspoon made sure to ask her one burning question that Elle Woods most definitely would have approved of before their time ended. So Ford said the heck with professionalism (it is generally frowned upon to do anything personal like this at a junket) and brought the dissertation with her.

Ford wrote about the movie and its main character Elle Woods back in 2014, the detailed essay titled "Dumb Blonde Ambition" was all about post-feminism and re-imagining the "strong female character".

And if you want to have a read of Ford's 15,000 words yourself, you can. The moment was made even more awesome by Kaling and Oprah, who looked over at the enormous document, both whispering "Wow".

'Legally Blonde means a lot to me as well, ' Ford responded.

Reese responded, "I know you did!"
