He and Kevin have laid out some replacement options for Jack's T-shirt, including the old family baseball bat, but Kate assures them she has a better plan, racing out on an unspecified mission right after her mother arrives.

She explained her whole reasoning behind the mani in an Instagram post: "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue".

Time flies when you're watching and sobbing to This Is Us, and tonight we've finally reached the second season finale of the NBC/Fox series with the episode,"The Wedding". "The nail color was my something blue". Warning: If you have not yet seen the most recent episode of This Is Us, there are spoilers below. So, yeah, it was really fun. Kate and Toby say their "I dos", and it is time to party. "We actually took some selfies with (Ventimiglia) and his newly old self". With the impending, will-they-or-won't-they wedding looming over Kate and Toby's heads throughout the episode, fans were finally treated to a happy ending (or so we thought) when KaToby tie the knot and officially become Mr. and Mrs. Damon. A fresh start. Kevin calls Kate "Katie-girl", a nickname we know Jack used for his daughter. He and a similarly aged, present-day Rebecca shared a moment in which Jack asked her, "where did the time go, Bec?" Though the show made its name partially on the Modern Family-esque twist at the end of its pilot episode, at this point, we don't need a vague flash-forward to a catatonic Toby to know that his and Kate's happiness is fragile.

In the final moments of the March 13 finale of This Is Us, the show flashed forward years into the future to an older Randall and adult Tess. Cousin Zoe tries to ease Deja's anger; like her, she was a teen angry at the world, no thanks to a mother who dumped her at her aunt's house when she was a child. So as much as we like to theorize about where we think - and sometimes, wish - the characters will end up, oftentimes we're just blindly shooting darts at the dartboard. Randall and Beth pitched in to put together wedding favors (which included a candle, champagne, and Ka-Toby corkscrews), Kevin stepped in as amateur planner, and Madison set the tone for the bridal suite. But, Dad, I'm getting married today. Kate had a monumental breakthrough in regards to her relationship with her father, while Kevin showed surprising maturity in his speech at the wedding reception, which proved cathartic for the cast and the viewers.

Sure, we can probably count on Kate imagining Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) walking her down the aisle and Toby's never-before-seen family to cause some sort of rukcus. We also see Kate going into her and Toby's bedroom, where Toby is lying under the covers with the curtains drawn. Could this be the depressive state his parents talked about earlier?

As Kevin and Randall drive on, trying to find their sister, Randall introduces the "worst-case scenario" game to his brother - this time, played in reference to a wedding that seems to be veering toward disaster.

Back to the flashfoward - Randall tells Tess that "it is time to go see her".

Toby's reaction to losing the baby was nearly made out to be more important than Kate's, and this happens far too often.
