Instagram Testing Quoted Stories Feature For Resharing

Users who don't want their posts showing up in someone's Instagram Story can decide to opt out of the feature.

Last year, Instagram launched shoppable organic posts for businesses in the U.S., giving brands the ability to add e-commerce links within their Instagram organic posts. It can also act as a promotion for users.

Among those apps listed are Regram, Media Repost for Instagram, and Repost for Instagram. "We're always testing ways to make it easier to share any moment with friends on Instagram", TechCrunch quoted an Instagram spokesperson as saying. In addition, subscribers will be able to promote their own Instagram posts by placing a "see post" button on a Story. Yes, Instagram's official app now doesn't have any option that lets you share posts of other users easily on your profile. This is done by tapping on the embedded post in Instagram Story and then tapping on the "See Post" label that pops up. There are several customisation options included as well such as highlighting or downplaying the author, change the design, move and resize inside the Story post and even add comments in it.

According to the company, about half of its daily active users in the U.S. follow a shopping business account, and more than 200 million users visit one or more Instagram business profiles daily. This may take some time as the resharing feature is now limited to Instagram Stories only. This is not the only feature Instagram is testing right now. However, they could be a part of Instagram's Direct messaging system.
