'Stranger Things' Stars Land Season 3 Pay Raises

Stranger Things has been an overwhelming success so far, and its creators-the Duffer Brothers-are extending the financial benefits on to the show's stars. Ahead of Stranger Things season three, all the major players are getting a raise. I hear their new salaries are north of 300,000, approaching 350,000 an episode. Sources say the child actors will be making approximately 12 times their previous salaries and closed deals last week with production set to begin April 23.

Winona Ryder and David Harbour are also making stacks on stacks. I hear their per-episode fee will go up to more than $200,000 an episodes and possibly around $250,000. Some sources have noted that Brown is earning at least the $250,000 that the "B tier" is, while others suggest that she could be promoted to the "A tier" and pocket the $350,000 per episode that adult stars Ryder and Harbour are earning.

Regardless of Brown's exact payday, the hefty salary bumps represent massive raises for television stars.

Aside from the return of a much beloved character, there's been few details shared regarding the upcoming third season.

The first two seasons of Stranger Things are now streaming on Netflix.

Brown especially has gained national attention for her role on the show.

To be sure, the show has been a calling card for its other castmembers, as well. Dyer was recently cast in Dan Gilroy's next feature, which stars John Malkovich and Jake Gyllenhaal, while Keery will appear in the movie Beef with Timothy Olyphant and Jai Courtney. And for Ryder, the drama is widely considered her comeback vehicle. And while we await more information there's some much deserved good news for the cast: Netflix has given a number of cast members a raise. The cable network also recently inked new deals with the stars of Big Little Lies when it chose to bring the limited series back for a second season. That's more than Stranger Things' "A tier" cast, but Thrones has fewer episodes per season; season seven was seven episodes long, compared to nine for season two of Stranger Things.
