Bulls crushed by Nets

According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen will not play Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Brooklyn Nets set a franchise record Saturday night with 24 3-pointers in a 124-96 win at Chicago.Brooklyn finished just a 3-pointer shy of the record set last season by the Cavaliers and, thus, hurt Cleveland's chances at a higher draft pick in this June's draft.Brooklyn's win vs. the Bulls dropped the Nets' pick, which is owned by the Cavaliers, to eighth among teams set for the lottery.

Brooklyn sank 24 of 55 attempts from behind the arc, with eight players hitting at least one 3-pointer and six making multiple threes. That's a career high in triples for Acy with 3-pointers being the story today.

Late in the second quarter, Brooklyn began to pull away.

Former Brooklyn player Sean Kilpatrick led the Bulls with 20 points in a reserve role while Bobby Portis kicked in 18. Jerian Grant came off the bench to score 13 points.

Brooklyn made 19 3-pointers Thursday in a win against Milwaukee. He has also shot 41.4 percent from the field, and 37.1 percent from 3-point distance. "It was great seeing everything that was going on and them getting all the praises and all the shout-outs from the big stars".

Crabbe knocked down four of the Nets' nine 3-pointers in the third, and Brooklyn led by 22 during the quarter. He's projected for 28.4 FD points on Monday against this same Nets team. Brooklyn canned five straight 3-pointers in a 2:53 span early in the period to make it a 78-62 advantage, then pushed the lead to 20 for the first time when Acy drained his fourth 3-pointer.

In the second quarter, baskets by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson bookended a 14-1 run for the Nets which opened a 61-47 lead with 1:11 left until halftime.
