A local court granted seven-day remand of the prime suspect in Larkana singer Samina Sindhu murder case to police on Thursday. She was 24 years old and was the famous singer of the region.

Samina Samoon performed under the name Samina Sindhu.

In the viral video, Samina was seen performing in Kanga village for an event.

The suspect, identified as Tariq Jatoi, had opened fire on the famed performer during a wedding ceremony Tuesday night after she refused to accept his specific dance request, Geo News reported. The singer reportedly refused to comply with his demand apparently because she was 6 months pregnant. However, Jatoi, who was inebriated, shot her dead just moments after she got up.

A video of the incident has surfaced online that shows the singer standing and singing while the accused and others tossed money at her. Though she was rushed to the hospital, she was pronounced dead.

The Sindh Police has detained the key suspect along with his two accomplices for shooting the local singer.

Samina's husband has demanded that the First Information Report (FIR) should charge the accused of double murder for killing his wife and unborn child.
