Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro: When, where to buy without flash sales

The smartphone's highlights are its Snapdragon 636 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, and its dual rear camera setup. Some of the benefits that are part of pre-ordering process of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro are - no dependency on next flash sale, priority shipping and easy cancellation. Xiaomi also had to remove the COD (Cash On Delivery) option to prevent resellers from buying the phone. Xiaomi says that the fulfilment of the pre-orders can take up to two to four weeks and if customers change their mind in the meantime, they can cancel the orders before the product is shipped. Inspired by the Cupertino-based firm, Xiaomi has now released a new poster on its official Weibo account in China teasing a new Red color option for the Redmi Note 5, which is known as the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India.

Xiaomi's pre-order system doesn't require buyers to be impromptu with their purchase.


The Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in India in February this year. The order quantity per user is restricted to 2 units. Buyers also get a free 3-month subscription to Hungama Music.

Xiaomi has announced pre-orders for the Redmi Note 5 Pro on its website, Mi.com, on 13 April. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 5 features a single rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front camera. On the front, the smartphone has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor that is accompanied by an LED selfie-light module. Both offer 64GB internal storage. It packs a 4000mAh battery and weighs 181 grams. Further, the handset has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB.
