Sridevi named Best Actress at National Awards 2018, Baahubali 2 wins big

While "Baahubali 2" received three national film awards in the categories of "Best popular film in providing wholesome entertainment", "Best special effects" and "Best action choreography", submarine war drama "Ghazi" won "Best regional film" award in Telugu. But it did well at the box office in all languages and has now won a National award. Reacting to the blockbuster getting the country's top cinema recognition, actor Rana Daggubati said, "I have been enjoying the high of the success of Baahubali for the last 6-7 years".

Interestingly, actor Rana Daggubati portrayed crucial roles in both the films.

Rana also is excited at "Ghazi" winning the national award.

"Ghazi is one of the films that I am really very proud of because there was a lot of resistance when I was trying to make the film". Thanking the directors of these films Rajamouli and Sankalp for teaching me so much and making the process of filming so memorable.

Bollywood films were next to absent from the winners list at the 65th National Film Awards. "That it did not have the songs or a love story but ultimately we (who believed in the story) went to succeed", he noted.
