Atletico Madrid Book UEFA Champions League Berth for Straight Sixth Time

Atletico Madrid made light work of Levante as they cruised to a 3-0 win at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday afternoon.

Angel Correa lashed in the opening goal in the 33rd minute after a bursting run into the box by Spain forward Vitolo and Antoine Griezmann buried the ball in the top corner to score three minutes after halftime and double Atletico's lead.

Six days after confirming he will be leaving his boyhood club at the end of the season, Torres rolled back the years with a volleyed finish the 34-year-old would have been proud of in his prime. Atletico's coach Diego Siemeone chose to replace the French forward, inserting Fernando Torres, who scored the third goal on a volley connecting Correa's cross.

Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague has provided three reasons Arsenal will not beat Atletico Madrid in their Europa League semi-final.

Getafe were 1-0 winners over Espanyol as they moved up to 10th; Damian Suarez hit the victor on 53 minutes, but Getafe had former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini sent off shortly after for two quick-fire yellows.

"Fernando's performance was as important as that of the whole team".

"For me every game I have left is a party, you can see how the fans are with us", Torres said. The former Spain standout played for Atletico from 2001-07 before going to Liverpool and Chelsea, where he won Champions League and Europa League titles. "I hope it's not my last goal of the season and not my last game".

Simeone's side now face Real Sociedad on Thursday and Real Betis on Sunday before the first leg at Emirates Stadium but they arrived here with only two wins from their last five matches.
