NFL Network reported that Worley was arrested Sunday morning near the team's practice facility and that police used a Taser on him after he became combative.

The team first issued a statement that it was investigating Worley's arrest and later announced he was cut.

Former Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly becoming combative with police who found him passed out in a auto that was blocking traffic, officials said. A gun was recovered at the scene. Police say Worley was found passed out in a parked vehicle that was blocking the street in the area of Broad and Pattison, just down the road from the Eagles' training facility.

Former Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley has been charged with violation of the uniform firearms act, driving under the influence, disorderly conduct "and related offenses", Philadelphia police said Monday. He pled no contest to that charge and served a six-month suspended sentence.

Worley spent two seasons with the Carolina Panthers after he was selected by them in the third round of the 2016 draft.
