Sega Games Senior Producer Kagasei Shimomura announced at Sega Fes 2018 that Sega Ages for Nintendo Switch may expand to include Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast games if the line of games do well.

Below, you can check out screenshots of Thunder Force IV, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, and Gain Ground.

The initiative will bring a number of classic titles from the software giant to Ninty's hybrid box, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, and Thunder Force IV. Developed by M2, the Japanese developer known for high-quality ports of classic games such as the popular Sega 3D Classics series on the Nintendo 3DS, Sega Ages aims to bring prominent titles from Sega's legacy catalog to fans around the world.

The team has also confirmed that arcade releases will be part of the line-up, with Gain Ground being the initial launch title. With Phantasy Star, you'll be able to change the walking speed, difficulty and more features from the Phantasy Star Collection. These titles are only the start, and SEGA is even promising that some future SEGA Ages games will be ones that never officially released in the west.

Octopath Traveler, the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive RPG from Square Enix, has received its first rating courtesy of Australia. The first SEGA AGES batch will come out this summer.

Sega Ages was a series of retro compilations released on the Sega Saturn back in mid-90s.
