Both teams, with a plethora of explosive batsmen, are yet to find their feet in the T20 league and would be keen to gather some momentum with a victory. This season too the first two matches lacked the expected fireworks as MI kept on losing wickets at regular intervals.

Opener Jason Roy remained unbeaten 91 off 53 balls to guide them to victory. The left-hander took a liking for leg-spinners Mayank Markande and Akila Dananjaya, sweeping and slogging them at will. Shreyas said Mumbai bowled some good slower ones at the death. Ishan Kishan followed up with 44 off 23 at No 3, but there was next to nothing after that. "It is a matter of him soaking in the atmosphere, and as we can see, he has got into the groove, a couple of scores under his belt, hoping as a team that he can bat and bat a bit longer, and get a big score, for not only himself but also for the team". Iyer and Roy ensured that there was no further damage and finally took their side home. In their last match, however, they met with a certain Sanju Samson who hammered their bowlers to all grounds, hence taking Rajasthan to a winning total of 217.

With a batting line-up boasting of Brendon McCullum, Kohli and AB de Villiers, no target will look insurmountable for the visitors, and three-time champions MI will be aware of this.

Umesh Yadav, who was their best bowler in the previous two outings went for 59 off his four overs which include the 27 he gave away in the final over.

So, to register their second win, Bangalore need to set their bowling combinations right as, apart from leggie Yuzvendra Chahal, no other bowlers could rose to the occasion.

However, the Daredevils could well have been out of the game if not for an innings collapse from the hosts after a very strong start.

While Pollard has had little opportunity to impress in Mumbai Indians' disappointing run so far, his Caribbean colleague Evin Lewis has been impressive in his maiden IPL stint. Mumbai's Hardik Pandya had no answer for the rampaging-Brit, the allrounder leaking 32 runs from his two overs and giving Roy the flawless start to capitalise on.

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli leads a star-studded battling line up. Kulwant Khejrolia has been given enough opportunities, yet proved ineffective and should be replaced by Navdeep Saini or Aniket Choudhary.
