"I always enjoy talking with Jordan, and he's actually very interested in news and the news business and understanding how information spreads", explained Peretti.

"You Won't Believe What Obama Says In This Video!" cleverly deepfakes an Obama address to the general public, with Peele as ventriloquist.

Don't be alarmed, it turns out "President Obama" was Jordan Peele doing his spot-on impression of the former president. "Moving forward, we need to be more vigilant with what we trust from the internet", Peele says as Obama. "So, for instance, they could have me say things like, I don't know, [Black Panther " s] Killmonger was right! Or, how "bout this: Simply, President Trump is a total and complete dipshit".

Jordan Peele and Buzzfeed teamed up to release a video to promote media literacy.

BuzzFeed reported Tuesday that the video was meant as a warning to the public regarding the threat to digital misinformation and how technology allows for videos and faces to be distorted. No word on whether or not Obama himself signed off on the video, but it is pretty convincing and definitely gets the point across.

"We've covered counterfeit news websites that say the pope endorsed Trump that look kinda like real news, but because it's text people have started to become more wary", he explained. Rather, they got the next best person: Jordan Peele, who not only does a famously spot-on Obama impression but has almost as high an approval rating as our 44th president in the wake of making Get Out. Produced in collaboration with Peele's Monkeypaw Productions, BuzzFeed creative director Jared Sosa figured out how to use motion graphics program After Effects and video editing software Fakeapp to superimpose Peele's mouth over Obama's, later synchronizing its positioning and further refining the footage to its realistic final product. However, viewers don't hear the former president's voice; instead, Obama's lips move in sync with Peele's voice.

Peele, who last month won an Oscar for "Get Out", has impersonated Obama on multiple occasions on his Comedy Central show "Key & Peele".

"Stay woke, bitches", Jordan/Barack ends the video.
