Once the body was recovered it was identified as being Siddhant Thottapilly (12), the remaining missing member of the Thottapilly family.

Sandeep Thottapilly, 41, and his nine-year-old daughter Saachi were found inside the submerged vehicle April 15.

The boy's mother, Soumya Thottapilly, 38, was found Friday miles from the crash site in an area previously covered with water from the storm-swollen river.

They were expected to arrive at a family member's home in San Jose but never made it to the house. Autopsies will be performed on all three victims April 17.

The Thottapillys' vehicle was completely submerged under heavy water, said Bartley, noting that intense rains had soaked the river, which was moving very swiftly.

The search and rescue teams in the United States recovered the bodies of two more members of the Indian American family that had gone missing while travelling from OR to California about 10 days ago. As many as 21 water searchers, including two jet ski teams, two boat teams and many kayak teams, were looking through the waters.

About 11:30 a.m. a boating team smelled gasoline about half-mile from the crash site and found a vehicle about 4 to 6 feet under the surface, officials said in a news release.

Soon thereafter, search divers entered the water and were able to feel what they believed to be a person inside of the vehicle. "Visibility was extremely poor and divers noted the vehicle was encased in a large amount of sediment from the river current", the statement said.

Recovery efforts continued for several hours. Crews partially removed the vehicle with a tow truck and recovered the bodies, the sheriff's office said.

Searchers yesterday found the body of Siddhant Thottapilly, the last to be found after the family of four went missing. "He and his family are reported missing since last Thursday (April 5)". My son Sandeep Thottapilly is residing in California, USA.

After the disappearance, Sandeep's father had tweeted to Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and sought her help.
