Three children remain missing and so many questions persist in the mystery of how the Hart family's SUV ended up at the bottom of a 100-foot Mendocino, County, California, cliff.

Police had previously said they believed the Hart family died in a suicide plunge from a scenic overlook.

Devonte Hart became the center of attention after the crash. Sadly, two of the children were drugged with "a significant amount" of diphenhydramine, which is an ingredient found in Benadryl.

The toxicology report was released Friday in California as authorities in Washington state provided details about visits from child protective services to the family's home there. The items found from the river have identified positive by the family members.

Jennifer Hart (center) was drunk when she drove her wife and six children off of a cliff in California, according to police.

The presence of the substance has not been determined in the third child.

The authorities described the Thottapilly family as 'loving and happy.' The California Highway Patrol (CHP) -Garberville confirmed that the body of a victim and personal belongings of the family have been recovered from the river.

The bodies of three of the Hart's children were not found in the wreckage. A specialized team of accident investigators is trying to figure that out with help from the FBI, Carpenter said. The crash killed Jennifer Hart, 38, Sarah Hart, 38, Markis Hart, 19, Jeremiah Hart, 14, and Abigail Hart, 14. The 15-year-old made headlines in 2014 after a photographer shot a photo of him hugging a police officer during a protest after the decision was made to not press charges against the officers who shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

A family of four taking a West Coast road trip vanished about 30 miles from the site of the Hart family crash, authorities said this week. Alexandra Argyropoulos, who told The Associated Press previously that she contacted OR child welfare officials, said in an email Friday that Jennifer Hart ran the household "like a regimented boot camp". Jennifer and Sarah Hart were white. But after spending two weeks with the family Argyropoulos said she noticed kindness, love and respect for the children was largely absent. Bruce Carpenter said Friday that toxicology tests found Jennifer Hart had an alcohol level of.102.
