When Liverpool are on their game like that they can be nearly impossible to play against, and Bournemouth did well to stay in the game for as long as they did.

Liverpool star Mane scored his 17th goal of the season during the Reds' 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

But the Reds manager also insists his team will not be distracted by Salah's quest for the Golden Boot award, for the Premier League's top scorer, as Liverpool seek to end their season by winning the Champions League.

'[Klopp] said we have to [show] our quality and be angry because every game is important, ' Mane said.

"After the City game, you have to concentrate more because you usually know how it (can go)".

"He tried to motivate us like usually and, in the end, everybody was in the right place at the right time to win every ball". His intelligent and selfless movement has created space for the Egyptian to score the goals and be the star.

Salah, in his first season at Anfield, became the first Liverpool player since Ian Rush in 1986-87 to reach the 40-goal mark and only the third from the club to reach that landmark after Rush and 1966 England World Cup victor Roger Hunt.

"I wouldn't play him against West Brom (next Saturday)".

"I always enjoy playing alongside these great players and if you play with these kinds of players it's always easy to understand each other". I think I can remember him scoring one away at Leicester earlier in the season and that surprised me at the back post, seeing the little man get up and score a header.

The Reds have all but confirmed their place in the top four, now sitting 10 points behind fifth placed Chelsea with just four league games to play, although the Blues do have a game in hand.

"We have to carry it on for a few games to come".
