Night Trap is coming to Switch

One of the most infamous games in history is coming to a Nintendo platform after more than a quarter century.

Originally released on the Sega CD, the game, at its essence, is a fairly bare-bones FMV adventure which cast you in the role of a secret agent watching over a house filled with teenage girls. The hearings also led to the creation of the ESRB.

A year ago it was revealed that Ubisoft's latest South Park game, The Fractured But Whole would not be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

KORG's unique Nintendo Switch edition of the versatile Gadget Digital Audio Workstation comes with 16 bundled synthesisers and drum machines (all emulations based on vintage KORG hardware) and will allow you to cover pretty much any electronic genre you can think of (yes, even old chiptunes).

At the moment, a release date has not been divulged. However clearly the company had a change of heart because the game has since been confirmed for the Switch and according to the Nintendo eShop listing, it will be released on the 24th of April. At best, an historically significant oddity and, at worse, a deeply troubling, technical mess of a game, those who want to re-play Night Trap on their Nintendo Switch (2018 is weird) still have some months to wait yet. For the first time ever, the unreleased prototype Scene Of The Crime will be fully playable and included with Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition.
