MSI and AMD Might Bring CPU + GPU + Mobo Bundle to market

According to VideoCardz.com, AMD is partnering up with MSI to bundle a gaming kit called a "Combat Crate".

More specifically, it appears that these bundles come with either a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU or a Ryzen 7 1700 CPU paired with an MSI B350 Tomahawk motherboard and an MSI RX 580 Armor graphics card.

Besides, it is also a great way for them to unload previous gen hardware. Well not exactly. The AMD Combat Crate is more like three products folded into one.

Another benefit for AMD (and MSI, in this case) is these Combat Crates could help offload inventories of last generation parts, to make room for newer hardware. This gap in performance is gradually closed when tested at higher resolutions, but this has prompted the more skeptical crowd to suggest that the delay for a higher powered Ryzen 7 2800X is due to AMD lacking confidence in satisfying supply and demand. This is an 8-core, 16-threaded CPU running at 3.0GHz base clock which boosts up to 3.7GHz. There will be at least two different versions, each one containing a first generation Ryzen processor bundled with a Radeon RX 500 series graphics card and a motherboard.

There is no pricing information available yet at this time, but it is definitely in the very affordable side of things.

We found in our own review that the Ryzen 7 2700X offered some much needed, albeit marginal improvements over its last generation, alongside its lower launch prices.
