The CDR scam, which included some big names from the B-Town, was busted back in January for which the Thane Crime Branch has filed a 2000-page chargesheet. A total of 14 people have already been arrested including an Assam police constable, Rajani Pandit, India's first woman private detective, among others. They also have a child together. In an ongoing investigation in the call data record (CDR) case, Thane police on Wednesday questioned Paap actress Udita Goswami for being allegedly involved in illegally procuring call records of her director husband Mohit Suri, with the help of an advocate in 2014. A police official said that in her statement on Wednesday afternoon, Goswami told the cops that her advocate had allegedly given her some documents and had told her to check if she had any doubts on any numbers.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui was arrested by Thane Crime Branch in the CDR case.

In another development last month, actress Akruti Nagpal complained about personal information being illegally accessed and misused in her divorce case by Siddiqui, who has been representing her husband in the court. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Abhishek Trimukhe, Goswami was called in to record her statement.
