Raazi song Dilbaro plays well on emotions

It evokes a lot of emotions and especially when you place it in the context of the film, where the father Rajit Kapoor decides to send his young daughter, Sehmat as a spy to Pakistan despite knowing that he could lose her forever. This is something, which we have seen never before in films, where bidaai is mostly a soppy affair of the darling daughter just leaving her parental home. Alia Bhatt recently on Colors TV's Rising Star to promote her film, where she unveiled the first song, Ae Watan.

Today, Raazi's song Dilbaro released and it is a victor on so many levels.

Penned by lyricist-poet Gulzar, "Dibarao" begins with a verse from the popular Kashmiri folk song 'Khan Maej Koor'. If the trailer was enough to pique the interest in Meghna Gulzar's film, the songs are only adding to the hype.

As we all knows by now, Raazi narrates the tale of Sehmat (Alia Bhatt), an Indian spy married to a Pakistani soldier for intelligence.

The song "Dilbaro" of RAAZI was unveiled yesterday which is filmed during the wedding scene of Sehmat, the character portrayed by Alia, the song is a lovely wedding procession ode. I couldn't help but think of my father whos held my hand but also let my fly.my most special friendship!

The music of the song has been composed by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Shankar Mahadevan has also crooned a few lines in the soulful number. "Love you papa." Filmmaker Karan Johar tagged the song as his favourite from the Raazi album.

Raazi, which is based on Calling Sehmat by Harinder Sikka, will hit the silver screens on May 11. Vicky Kaushal and Shishir Sharma in a still from Raazi.
