Venom Movie's New Poster Makes Tom Hardy Very Creepy

So when Sony finally got there act together and got their Venom solo movie project off the ground, I got all scared again.

Venom makes his first, full, on-screen appearance - complete with razor-sharp teeth, snake-like eyes and a long reptilian tongue - at the end of the trailer.

Watch reporter Eddie Brock get in way over his head against a powerful corporation trying to harness the powers of a mysterious symbiote which ends up merging with Eddie leading to a risky situation.

We also get more on the story for the film, and the trailer reveals that several symbiotes do exist in the movie. There were already rumors that Tom Holland would cameo as Peter Parker, and I think it would be ridiculous for Sony to introduce Venom as a franchise without ever having him clash with Spider-Man at all. The design is also taking a smart step away from the only other live-action version of the character, which appeared in 2007's Spider-Man 3. However, it will be interesting to see if the movie mentions the beloved web-slinger in some fashion.

"Venom" will not be connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Whatever the case, comic book fans are in for something very different from Venom, which also stars Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson.

Co-starring Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson, Venom will open in the United Kingdom on 5 October 2018.
