Last night, Bellator 199 saw TUF victor and UFC refugee Ryan Bader take on former Strikeforce champ Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal in another installment of the heavyweight grand prix.

Ryan Bader booked his spot in the next round of the Bellator heavyweight grand-prix after a stunning 15-second KO of Muhammed Lawal.

Bader, with this statement TKO, arguably becomes the insider's favourite to claim the tournament, though he faces Matt Mitrione in the semi-finals, with Chael Sonnen lining up against Fedor Emelianenko, both fights expected to be in the last quarter of this year. "I saw his ducking his head".

But nope. Bader needed just 15 seconds to throw them hands and send King Mo tumbling to the canvas. With his opponent reeling, Bader pounced on Lawal, quickly took his back and landed five more shots before the referee could fling himself between the two to end the fight.

Bader and Mitrione have been buddies for a long time but will now have to put that friendship aside in favor of attempting to become the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament victor.

Lawal was coming off a high-profile win after defeating Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, another UFC veteran, but wasn't able to mark the same success in the Bellator cage tonight.
