Given its much lower price point, Logitech has stripped the G305 of the bling of its high-end predecessors, forgoing the aggressive aesthetic, wireless charging technology and extra buttons in favour of a more simplistic, compact design. It packs the same LightSpeed wireless technology found in Logitech's flagship gaming mouse, the G903, while also incorporating the low-energy Hero sensor found in the G603. "There's never been a better time to go wireless".

With the Logitech G305, you can play at peak performance with the industry-leading HERO sensor. That gives it a 1 millisecond report rate with 400 inches-per-second accuracy and sensitivity up to 12,000 dots per inch. Despite its long battery life and features, the mouse comes in at just 99 grams, which should help prevent strains after using it for extended periods of time. The company claims that this new optical sensor is not only very precise but also power efficient since it can offer 250 hours of gameplay with a single AA battery. Using the mouse's software you can switch to an Endurance mode and extend that to up to nine months, though it does increase the report rate to 8 ms. Whether you're playing at your desktop rig or on the go with a laptop, the Logitech G305 is a fit. It is available in Black and White.

Logitech is adding a new wireless mouse to its Logitech G gaming-focused sub-brand, the G305 LightSpeed.
