"It will be very hard for me [without Arsenal]", Wenger told the official Arsenal website.

Vieira was contacted by Arsenal about the role this week, but the former skipper is said to be "disappointed and upset" by the call, which he apparently branded a "token gesture".

Following a stunning sendoff in recent weeks as he stepped away from Arsenal after nearly 22 years in the job, the legendary French manager has revealed he seems himself staying in the game.
