But the bigger question is how well BSNL's new plan competes against the offers from Reliance Jio and Airtel. The plan comes with 28 day validity period.

The pack is valid for all prepaid customers and it is available in several circles like Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Kolkata and more, reports Telecom Talk.

After its Rs. 39 offer that provides unlimited calls to its subscribers, state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new pack for its prepaid customers. Lastly, users will also get free PRBT with this new prepaid plan. It also offers on free roaming calls but excluding Mumbai and Delhi telecom circles.

Telecom operators in the country have kept on refreshing their prepaid plans since the entry of Reliance Jio to the Indian market. Under this offer, Jio users get unlimited voice calls on local, STD and national roaming along with 2GB of data with a validity of 28 days. After recharging with Rs 118 plan, the BSNL signature caller tune will automatically get activated for free. Airtel upgraded its Rs. 93 pack to provide customers with unlimited calls and 1GB data for 28 days. Here are the top 4G data plans from telcos under Rs 200. Airtel also started offering one GB data a day for 28 days with Rs. 149 recharge pack for its dedicated data users. BSNL is offering 1GB of data and unlimited voice calls with its new Rs 118 plan. This means that if you've recharged your prepaid account with a data-only pack or a usual unlimited pack that offers a certain amount of data on a monthly basis, you will be charged for each KB consumed post the given data limit. Identical to the Airtel and some other "unlimited" plans, the voice calls in the pack are limited to 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. BSNL has recently announced new plans doubling the FUP data for three of its FTTH plans with no change in prices. There is no further information on full-fledged launch across India.
