However, over the weekend Pauley posted a series of tweets which suggested that her departure may have been related to "Multiple Physical Assaults" she experienced in the workplace, and in outcome, the US television network behind the show has released a statement. But now I KNOW because it was ME!

Their words confirm some of the details mentioned in Perrette's tweets, though they don't directly say it was the reason behind her departure from NCIS. "You clearly don't know me", she continued.

PREVIOUS: NCIS producer CBS Television Studios has responded today to a series of tweets by the CBS series' longtime regular Pauley Perrette, who exited the show in a two-part sendoff earlier this month.

"I refused to go low, that's why I've never told publicly what happened". If it's school or work, that you're required to go to?

CBS is not taking reports that Pauley Perrette was mistreated on the NCIS set lightly. 'Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. It's horrifying. I left.

It also bears noting that, in the Daily Mail article featuring Shivers, it was revealed that Pauley Perrette had taken a restraining order out against him - something that had only recently been revealed in open court, since she claimed she was "embarrassed" to be associated with him. Her final tweet about the subject cited "multiple physical assaults".

"I've been supporting anti-bullying programs forever".

She concluded by pleading with her social media followers to: "Stay safe. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows".

In response, Perrette praised CBS and how they dealt with the complaints. She responded to this by tweeting that CBS has "always been so good to me and always had my back".

The 49-year-old actress left the long-running CBS forensic show after 15 seasons last week under what was originally presented as a professional decision.

Perrette previously dispelled rumors that the minds behind NCIS or the executives at CBS were mad at her and wanted her gone, or that she was leaving to pursue her own line of skincare products (yes, people genuinely believed that freaky rumor), and explained that she just felt her time on the show should come to a close.
