President Donald Trump acknowledged that he has repaid his lawyer Michael Cohen for expenses Cohen occurred during the 2016 presidential election, according to his financial disclosure forms released Wednesday. "Mr. Trump fully reimbursed Mr. Cohen", the report said. "The category of value would be $100,001 - $250,000 and the interest rate would be zero".

Reporter: Mr. President, did you know about the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels?

Trump: No, I don't know.

More recently, former NY mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani - newly hired as part of Trump's legal team - said in interviews that Trump had reimbursed Cohen for the payment. The agency reviewed the form and made it public on Wednesday. He said he had not been reimbursed by Trump's company or Trump's campaign.

"Mr. Cohen, an attorney, received a monthly retainer, not from the campaign and having nothing to do with the campaign, from which he entered into, through reimbursement, a private contract between two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA", Trump wrote on Twitter, reversing an earlier statement that he was unaware of the payment. The payment to Daniels was made via a limited-liability company, Essential Consultants, which Cohen had set up in 2016.

President Donald Trump has submitted his annual financial disclosure to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, and it is expected to be released publicly in the coming days.

The Office of Government Ethics has also concluded that the payment to Cohen "meets the disclosure requirement for a reportable liability".

The Office of Government Ethics flagged the disclosure in a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian Federation in 2016.

Trump's new disclosure statement did not describe the goal or the recipient of the 2016 payment made by Cohen.

Trump's disclosure, which includes all of 2017 and part of 2018, is being closely watched to see whether it will disclose the $130,000 paid to porn star Stormy Daniels on his behalf by his attorney Michael Cohen. "He previously denied any knowledge of the agreement or the payment - and did so aboard Air Force One on video".
