Former WWE Superstar Enzo Amore has been cleared by the Phoenix Police of rape allegations.

According to the statement, Amore had his counsel reach out to the Phoenix Police department when the accusations appeared on social media and that was when he first learned of the accusations. He is cooperating with the authorities in this matter and looks forward to having it resolved in a timely manner.

Amore says they were also told, "The matter will not be transferred to the County Attorney for prosecution, and that their investigation and case is closed". Amore has always maintained his innocence.

Amore is "working diligently toward his next venture in the entertainment industry", his attorney said Wednesday. Amore began his career in NXT in 2012 and for four years he competed in the tag team scene with his partner and real-life friend, Colin Cassady.

Amore signed with WWE in 2012 and made his main roster debut in April 2016 as part of a tag team with Big Cass.

Enzo Amore was on top of the world as he danced his way down to the ring as WWE Cruiserweight Champion and then it all seemed to crumble for him in an instant.

In terms of his suspension and later firing, the reason that they cut ties with him is not due to an internal belief that Enzo is guilty, but over the fact that Enzo failed to notify officials that he was being investigated. The tournament concluded with Cedric Alexander defeating Mustafa Ali at WrestleMania.
