Over one million chainsaws are under recall due to a power switch malfunction.

"The recall impacts two 14" inch chainsaw models sold under three different brand names.

If you have a chainsaw from Harbor Freight Tools, we have a recall you need to know about. The Chicago Electric chain saw is red and black and has "Chicago Electric" printed on the handle.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the chainsaws could continue to operate after the switch is moved to the "off" position, posing a serious injury hazard to the operator. The model numbers for each of the chainsaws are either 67255 or 61592 for each brand.

Harbor Freight will have replacement units by May 21.

All recalled chainsaws were sold with a black blade guard.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall by Habor Freight Tools on Monday.

The chainsaws were sold at Harbor Freight Tools stores nationwide and online at www.harborfreight.comfrom May 2009 through February 2018 for about $50.

Harbor Freight Tools said it received 15 reports of injuries associated with the malfunction, including three lacerations and one where the person needed stitches.
