She was the guest of honour and key speaker at the debate held on the account of International Mother's Day and she gave us a lot of insights on raising kids, husband's involvement in the same, support of parents and the whole balancing act.

Kareena spoke about this when she also added that the two were sharing the load of parenthood equally, with Saif taking as much care of Taimur as his mother. She stated, "I've been lucky [and] give utmost credit to Saif". And I am lucky to get the support from Saif. She also made pertinent points about women empowerment. Post delivery I was excessively exhausted but the doctor emphasises on kangaroo care - a method of caring for a premature baby in which the infant is held in skin-to-skin contact with a parent, typically the mother - since I was recuperating, it was essential that the father steps in to provide the same love and care for the newborn. When the mother is recuperating from childbirth, the father must step in.

When it comes to Taiumur, Kareena reveals she spoils her 17-month-old.

She has interacted with children, adolescents, young mothers, frontline workers and community members in around five states. I think his mother spoils him because I'm always giving him the warmth and the cuddle. So, there are times when we both try to balance it out. The first thing after childbirth that you want to do is put the child on the mother's breast. "When I'm doing a film, Saif tries to be around and vice versa". Mere khud ki mother-in-law (actor Sharmila Tagore) ko hi dekh lo; pichhle 50 saal se kaam kar rahi hain.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has set in her own rulebook on motherhood which she follows with pride.
