Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor Riz Ahmed has volunteered his services to Marvel Studios to write a proposed Ms. Marvel film - and he's invited actors/writers Kumail Nanjiani and Mindy Kaling to join him in his bid to take on the project.

Kaling, who is famous for her role in her own TV series, "The Mindy Kaling Project" replied to Ahmed's tweet when she said, "Riz!"

When it was announced by Marvel president, Kevin Fiege in a BBC interview, that a Ms Marvel movie will be made in 2019, fans of the community have been extremely excited.

He had followed up those comments with a possible introduction of Kamala Khan aka Miss Marvel into the MCU. And hey, Twitter helped make that Rihanna/Lupita Nyong'o buddy movie a reality, so getting Ahmed, Kaling, or Nanjiani involved with Ms. Marvel certainly isn't impossible. "Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works".

"We have plans for that once we've introduced Captain Marvel to the world", he added.

Ms. Marvel was created by editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona.

Marvel is now in the midst of shooting Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson and will move onto introducing the teenage-superhero.

Khan is a teenage Pakistani American from Jersey City, New Jersey with shapeshifting abilities and assumes the mantle of Ms Marvel from her idol, Carol Danvers after Danvers becomes Captain Marvel.
