Almost a month after the official launch in Brazil, Motorola has officially started teasing the launch of the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India.

Motorola India's official Twitter handle was updated with a tweet confirming Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play's imminent arrival.

Motorola India has posted a 14 seconds teaser video on Twitter stating that Moto G6 and G6 Play are coming soon to India. The new page with "Notify me" button is taking registrations from interested users in the country and we expect the phones to launch by next week. In terms of build and design, both the new Moto phones bring signature Moto design with glass construction taking limelight yet again. In Brazil, the Moto G6 Play is available at a starting price of $199, which roughly translates to Rs 13,135.

It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with an octa-core chipset and comes in RAM and storage variants of 3GB/4GB and 32GB/64GB. We expect Motorola to launch both the models of the phone in India as well. On the other hand, the Moto G6 comes with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB of internal storage.

Both smartphone will support expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD card slot. There's an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. It measures 8.3mm thick and weighs 167 grams. The Moto G6 also has a smaller 3000mAh battery, but the company claims that you will be able to experience a whole day's worth of battery life so we do not think you will end up complaining.

The Moto G6 Play also gets a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform. The device will be backed by a 4000mAh battery. The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, comes with a single rear camera which includes a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
